Most junk mail delivered by the postman can be redirected by the Mail Preference Service.
An easy way for you to reduce your waste is to stop junk mail coming through your letter box. You can stop unwanted mail from companies which may be directly sending you junk mail. To register, contact the Mail Preference Service on 0845 7034599 or visit www.mpsonline.org.uk

Free Newspapers
If you want to stop your free newspapers you can contact the MEN Group on 0161 2461271 or 0161 2461273.
Royal Mail
Royal Mail also provides an opt-out service of door to door deliveries. To register, email the Royal Mail at optout@royalmail.com . Royal Mail will stop delivering unaddressed items to your address within six weeks.
Lastly write “return to sender” to unaddressed or wrongly addressed junk mail and post it back free of charge.
