What’s to come at Longley lane

At Longley Lane site in Wythenshawe there will be a materials recovery facility to separate materials collected for recycling and a mechanical biological treatment facility for non-recyclable waste.

A purpose built, on site education facility to be used as a base for site visits is currently under construction. Here a full programme of activities similar to those currently available at the Bolton and Bury sites will be on offer. We anticipate that this centre will be opening in September 2010.
