Recycling In Your Area

In Greater Manchester everyone has recycling and rubbish containers of all different colours, shapes and sizes but we are all working towards the same goal to reach a Recycling and Composting rate of 50 % by 2020.

Your recycling collection service is provided by your local district council who are responsible for the collection of household waste, by visiting your district pages using the left hand menu you can find out more about the services provided to you to help you recycle from where you live.

We need your help by continuing to recycle and to recycle more things more often. We also need your input to ensure you only put what we ask for into your recycling containers. You can do this by reading your local district council page on this website, visiting their own specific website by following the links and by reading the recycling leaflets that your Council provides.
