Magazines

Share your magazines with your friends, you could have a magazine club. This way, you are not all buying the same one, saving money and keeping up with not only one of your favourites but many. They could also be reused in your local waiting room or hairdresser and beauty salon.
When they are finished with they can be recycled in your mixed paper and card recycling container or taken to paper banks at the Household Waste Recycling Centres.

Medicines & tablets

Medicines and tablets are classed as Hazardous Waste. If you have any left over medicines you should consult your local chemist, pharmacy or hospital on how best to dispose of them.

Metal

You can take scrap metal to your local Household Waste Recycling Centre, or take it to any scrap metal merchants.

Mobile phones

Many of the main supermarkets and chain stores provide freepost envelopes in store to post old mobile phones for recycling, they may also support a charity. Most mobile phone providers do the same, supplying you with an envelope when you upgrade your handset or purchase a new phone. There are many charity collections also operating, the best way to find these is to search the internet.
