Fly tipping
Fly tipping is any waste that has been unlawfully left in a public area. It is a serious offence to fly tip and reports will be investigated.
Reports of fly tipping should be made to the Environment Agency on 0800 807060.
Please let the Environment Agency know of the location of the fly tipping and type of land involved, it may be on farmland, a sports field or in a lay-by for example. Also tell them the type and amount of waste involved, and if you see a vehicle try to give them a description and the registration number.
It is possible that fly tipped waste may include hazardous or dangerous materials. Please do not touch the waste, or open any bags or containers.
Please dispose of all waste properly and legally.

Food
Save packaging where possible by buying loose food. A great deal of food is wasted through buying and preparing too much. Prevent waste by planning weekly menus, preparing suitable quantities, freezing excess food and compost raw vegetables and scraps. If you make too much food one evening why not heat it up for tomorrows lunch. Visit our food waste page for further details.
